As a line of severe weather raced across the coast, power lines snapped, knocking off the electricity in many neighborhoods. People on Jenness Road in the Pearlington community got one of those overnight wake up calls. In the wee hours of Friday morning, their power shut off. Firefighters blocked off the road as they waited for a power company linemen crews to arrive. A West Hancock Fire and Rescue spokesman told WLOX News Now a tree toppled the power line during Friday morning's severe weather.
Three Power lines were also reported downed in the Leetown community and at least three others in Bay St. Louis and Waveland.
