BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - A former Mississippi State basketball star with a troubled past is making headlines once again. Marcus Bullard, 41, was arrested in Biloxi early Thursday morning and charged with receiving stolen property.
Investigator Brock Newell, with the Biloxi Police Department, said Bullard was pulled over while driving a car that was reported stolen.
Bullard, who now lives in Long Beach, helped lead the Bulldogs to the school's only Final Four appearance in the 1996 NCAA men's basketball tournament.
Since 2013, Bullard has been charged with a laundry list of crimes including resisting arrest, drive by shooting, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and felony carrying a concealed weapon.
Bullard remains behind bars at the Harrison County jail on a $25,000 bond.
