PASS CHRISTIAN, MS (WLOX) - 24 candidates are in the running to be the next superintendent of the Pass Christian School District.
Among the applicants are four superintendents, five assistant superintendents, a former superintendent, seven school principals, a curriculum/professional development coordinator, a district school improvement officer, a chief academic officer, two executive directors of instruction, a director of assessment, and a director of student support services.
Members of the Mississippi School Boards Association are helping in the process to select the new superintendent.
Executive Director of the MSBA, Dr. Mike Waldrop, recently met with the Pass Christian School Board and provided detailed reports on each applicant.
The new hire will replace superintendent Beth John. She is retiring this summer.
