The Harrison Central Red Rebelettes have been on a roll under head coach Jimmy Parker. His 26 and 4 Red Rebelettes battle 24 and 4 South Panola Thursday afternoon at 1 at Freedom Ridgeway Park in Ridgeland, taking aim on a three-peat in the Class 6A State Fast Pitch softball finals.
He says Harrison Central is a close-knit team.
"We've been blessed, "stated Parker. "God has truly blessed us with great kids. We've got 25 kids and I don't think we have a bad one in the bunch."
Two sophomore's Kayla Cade, a catcher...and pitcher Kristen Cade are twins.
Kristen is 13 and 2 on the mound with a 0.82 ERA and her sister, Kayla, catching most of her games. Can opponents tell them apart?
Kayla said, "Oh, they get us confused all the time and other coaches ask us all the time are ya'll twins. I think it's really cool and it is really cool because you know your pitches and how she's feeling.
Kristen said, "Coach Parker can't tell us a part sometimes he had to tell us to turnaround because my hair is longer than hers."
Kayla said she and her sister are so much alike and knows what she's feeling when her sister is on the mound.
