Tattoo shop offers colorful way to help kids in foster care

WAVELAND, MS (WLOX) -

A tattoo shop in Waveland is offering a colorful way to help kids in Hancock County.

Gulf Coast Tattoo Co. is hosting a community day. Artists will be offering tattoos for $20, and all proceeds with go to CASA of Hancock County. Patrons will be able to choose from six designs. The designs will cost $20, but people can choose up to three additional colors to add into the design for $10 per color.

The small business wants to play a part in helping the child abuse epidemic in South Mississippi.

"The fundraiser is a win-win for CASA," says CASA executive director Cynthia Chauvin. "It helps us get the word out about our need for volunteers while also raising money to help with recruitment and training."

The special pricing is only available on Friday, May 13 from 11 am until midnight. Owner Scott Wiecek expects a huge crowd all day. The six designs are available to walk-in clients. No appointment is necessary to play a part in the fundraiser.
