Your artwork could be the showpiece of the 35th annual Biloxi Seafood Festival.

The Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce is accepting entries for the poster and t-shirt contest for this year's event. The theme for this year's festival is a celebration of the history and heritage of the seafood and maritime industry. The selection committee is looking for work that shows the City of Biloxi and the seafood industry.

There is no entry fee to submit your work, but you must meet several requirements:

  • Each artist may submit up to 2 entries in any medium (Graphic design is accepted)
  • No size requirements
  • Artwork must be suitable for poster and t-shirt reproduction
  • Artwork must be camera ready
  • Artwork must be submitted with fixative, covered with acetate or clear plastic wrap, and covered front and back with corrugated or foam core board for protection

Entries need to be dropped off at the Knight Nonprofit Center in the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce on Seaway Road in Gulfport by 4:00 pm on May 18, 2016.

Judges will determine whose art will be featured for the festival. The original piece will become property of the Biloxi Chamber of Commerce Seafood Festival for its permanent collection and duplication.

The winning artwork will be unveiled on July 20. The artist behind the winning design will take home $500, 5 free t-shirts, and 10 unsigned posters for his/her own use.

The 25th Annual Biloxi Seafood Festival will take place September 10-11 at Point Cadet Plaza in Biloxi.
