BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - You may be able to get your hands on several seized items at Biloxi's public auction Saturday; including jewelry, electronics, or a used car.
The city of is getting ready for its public auction and anyone can bid on hundreds of items that are up for grabs. The items range from unclaimed stolen and seized vehicles and property, to used equipment, and even a couple of school buses.
Auctioneer Nick Clark is in charge of selling the items to the highest bidder. He says there's a chance to get a close look at the merchandise before auction day.
"It's advisable to come and look and see what we have, and write it down so that you know what you want when you come on auction day," said Clark. "And have a figure in mind where you want to go and where you want to stop."
The city is hosting a preview day on Friday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. It is free to the public.
The actual auction will take place Saturday morning at 9 a.m. There is a $10 admission charge, and attendees must be 18 or older to attend. The auction site is at the city's impound yard on Popp's Ferry Rd., just east of Cedar Lake Rd.
