‘Combative’ man accused of assaulting Biloxi police officer

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - A Biloxi police officer was head butted in the face while responding to a domestic disturbance early Monday morning, according to Investigator Nick Sonnier.

David Anthony Scott, 22, has been arrested and charged with simple assault on a law enforcement officer, disturbing the peace and possession of a schedule IV narcotic.

Sonnier said officers were responding to a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of Eisenhower Dr. That's where officers reportedly found Scott, who was being "combative and resistive."

Sonnier said an officer was head butted in the face when he tried to arrest Scott for disturbing the peace. The blow caused minor injuries to the officer's face that did not require medical attention.

Scott remains behind bars at the Harrison County Adult Detention center on a $25,000 bond for the felony charge.
