ARLINGTON, TX (WLOX) - A Good Samaritan who was shot to death Monday in Texas has ties to Biloxi.
T.J. Antell was a former chef at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino. He and his wife moved from Biloxi to Texas within the past couple of years.
Antell was killed in a series of shootings today in Arlington, Texas.
Police said it started when the gunman, identified as Ricci Bradden, shot a woman outside a Walgreens store.
When Bradden tried to drive off, Antell intervened, taking out his own weapon and pointing it at the gunman's vehicle.
That's when police say the Bradden got out of his vehicle and shot and killed Antell.
Bradden was later arrested, 65 miles away from the shooting scene.
Monday night, Antell's former co-workers at the Beau Rivage took to social media to share their memories. Antell recently moved to Texas to open his own Crossfit gym.
