GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - Gulfport Police arrested 19-year-old Warren Jevon Perkins and charged him with 2nd degree murder.
According to Gulfport Police Department's Public Information Officer Sgt. Damon McDaniel, officials found the victim, 63-year-old Aaron Wilson after responding to a call in the 8000 block 34th Ave. at 10:34 a.m.
According to Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove the victim died from a gunshot wound to the upper torso.
The investigation revealed that the victim and Perkins were inside the residence at the time of the incident. According to police, Perkins brandished an unknown caliber hand gun and shot the victim.
Neighbors say Wilson was beloved by everyone and often played jazz music in his yard. In what appears to be his last Facebook post, Wilson shared a video of Saturday's double rainbow saying in part, "God sent me a rainbow to let me know everything's gonna be alright."
