Sentencing delayed for contractor linked to bribery scheme

Sentencing delayed for contractor linked to bribery scheme

HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - A coast contractor's sentencing hearing has been reset for the fourth time. Sean Anthony pleaded guilty in March 2015 to a bribery scandal linked to the Harrison County Utility Authority.

Anthony admitted he paid money to former Harrison County Supervisor Kim Savant to secure Savant's vote on utility authority contracts.

Savant is serving time in prison for his role in the scheme. Savant admitted he took money in exchange for votes favoring Anthony's contracting company.

Recently filed court documents show his sentencing date has been pushed back yet again. Anthony's sentencing is now set for July 5, 2016.
