GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

A Gulfport man is accused of robbing a bank in Kokomo, IN, nearly a month ago. According to Indiana State Police, federal authorities arrested Mykelti Robinson in Gulfport on Monday.

Robinson, 21, robbed a Key Bank at gunpoint on March 29, according to a news release from ISP. By the time local police got to the bank, Robinson had reportedly left the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.

Robinson was finally arrested in South Mississippi after a month-long investigation by ISP, the Kokomo Police Department and the FBI.

According to documents filed in federal court, Robinson is charged with armed bank robbery. Robinson appeared before Judge John Gargiulo on Monday.

The court documents said Robinson waived extradition, and he is waiting to be returned to Howard County, IN, where he will face the armed bank robbery charge. Robinson is now in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
