Homeowners thwart sexual assault, hold suspect at gunpoint

PASS CHRISTIAN, MS (WLOX) - Two Pass Christian homeowners responded to a terrifying situation with force Saturday after a man reportedly broke into their home.

Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson said deputies were called to a burglary in progress on Kiln Delisle Rd. When deputies got to the scene, Peterson said the homeowners had 32-year-old Kenda Casey on the ground at gunpoint.

The homeowners told investigators Casey had broken into their home and tried to sexually assault the female homeowner in their bedroom.

Casey is charged with home invasion and attempted sexual battery. He is being held at the Harrison County jail on a $300,000 bond.
