SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) -

Electricity is one of those things most of us take for granted until it goes out. Monday is National Lineman Appreciation Day, a time to show your thankfulness to the linemen who keep our lights on every day and night.

Mississippi Power, Coast Electric, and Singing River Electric Power Associations have been celebrating these public servants all this month. And you may not have known that future linemen are training every day as students at Pearl River Community College.

Check out this picture of the students forming "Christmas trees" on poles.
