PRENTISS COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

A Mississippi woman faces charges for using a Bible to smuggle contraband into a jail.

Officials with the Prentiss County Sheriff's Department say Sandy Reece of Booneville tried to drop off a Bible to an inmate in the Prentiss County Jail. Jail staff reportedly found tobacco and a fentanyl patch inside the book.

Reece was arrested and charged with two counts of introduction of contraband into a correctional facility.

She is now in custody at the Prentiss County Jail under a $10,000 bond.
