SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - The Gulf Coast Business Council passed a resolution Tuesday calling on Mississippi's leaders to repeal HB 1523. The resolution states the law is "damaging Mississippi's ability to compete in the global marketplace."
The resolution also states the GCBC Board of Directors "remains troubled by the growing list of negative impacts of the state's economic environment caused by HB 1523 and the worldwide attention it has received."
The GCBC resolution also goes on to say the Council "opposes any policy that would foster an environment of discrimination."
