LONG BEACH, MS (WLOX) -

WLOX News Now has confirmed that the woman facing charges in connection with the death of Edward A. Miller from Long Beach has died.

According to Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove, Christy Zarrella was in the hospital undergoing an unknown treatment when she died of natural causes on Thursday.

Miller's body was found in a trash can in the backyard of the home they shared on October 22, 2015.

In November, 63-year-old Zarrella pleaded guilty to failure to report Miller's death, though she still faced felony charges for tampering with evidence and desecration of a corpse.
