Caesars Entertainment 'disappointed' by passing of HB1523

LAS VEGAS (WLOX) - Caesars Entertainment, the parent company of Harrah's Gulf Coast, joins the list of companies who have issued statements expressing disappointment with Mississippi's Religious Liberty Accommodation Act.

Caesars Entertainment issued this statement Thursday morning:

Caesars is disappointed with the new Mississippi law which pits religious rights against equal protection for the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) community.  We respect our country's long history of religious freedom. However, that freedom shouldn't be used to legislatively discriminate against LGBT people, who include our employees and customers.  And, that law will not promote economic growth and tourism in the state.

Huntington Ingalls, MGM Resorts and Levi Strauss & Co. are just a few big companies that have spoken out against the bill.
