Parker Brothers of West Harrison both hit home runs in the same game

HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Meet the Parker brothers...Brandon and Tate.

On Saturday, Tate, a 14-year-old freshman ripped a two-run homer in the Hurricanes 11-2 win over Vancleave.  This video was captured by Tate's dad, Brandon Parker, senior.

Later in the same game, 16-year-old junior, Brandon stepped up to the plate and he would go yard...a 3-run blast.

Brandon Parker said, "It was just awesome. I mean for my brother to hit one first.  He's a freshman and he's pretty much leading the coast in hits.  I mean he's just a stud as a freshman."

Brandon carries a .372 batting average and 14 RBI. Tate, is batting .455 with 15 RBI's.

"It was just amazing, "stated Tate Parker.  "I've never had a feeling like that before.  My first high school home run.  Just felt great."

West Harrison head coach David Marsland couldn't believe it.

"In my 19 years I've never seen it and it's a little unfortunate for Brandon that his younger brother, Tate, hit the home run first, but I tell you Brandon was a no doubter, "said Marsland.

The Parker Brothers are two key members of the West Harrison Hurricanes, providing power at the plate.

West Harrison has posted 4 wins and 1 loss, sitting a top the Region 8-5A baseball standings following a 2-1 win over Long Beach Tuesday night.
