12 nabbed in Hancock Co. drug roundup

HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Complaints of drug activity in Hancock County led to a drug roundup that netted 12 arrests Tuesday. Jeremy Skinner, Commander of the Hancock County Narcotics Division, said half of the arrests came after investigators raided homes on Tigris St. in Bay St. Louis and Orange St. in the Springwood community.

Before the search warrant was executed at the home on Orange St., Skinner said investigators arrested William Eckerfield, Sean Peneguy and Rodney Brown in relation to drug sales at the residence.

Eckerfield and Sean are charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Brown is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

During the search of the home, investigators found a large amount of methamphetamine packaged for sale and drug paraphernalia, according to Skinner.
