The Mississippi Gulf Coast Bulldogs have become Road Warriors this season with the construction of a new baseball stadium at Ken "Curly" Farris Field in Perkinston.
A number of the Bulldogs home games have been played at MGM Park in Biloxi and on Tuesday Gulf Coast played two games at William Carey College.
Jones County (30-2, 13-1 MACJC) would defeat Gulf Coast (16-12, 6-6 MACJC) 9-1 in game one. In the loss, Ian Goff belted two hits for the Bulldogs. Irby Dossett (2-2) pitched six-plus strong innings. He allowed three runs on eight hits. Jones would plate six runs in the eighth inning to pull away from the Bulldogs.
Jones County got the sweep with a 13-3 victory in game two. The Bulldogs were limited to five hits and Ethan Necaise (0-4) suffered the loss.
Michael Shubert, Tyler Evans and Aaron Nicholson each drove in a run.
Gulf Coast travels to Mississippi Delta on Saturday in a double-header that begins 1 p.m.
