BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - It's Brooke Rutledge's first spring break season working at Edgewater Inn. So far, everyone's been warning her about this busy upcoming weekend.
"From what I heard, last year's was just like a sold out weekend normally. Just spring break people having a good time," said Rutledge.
Workers at the sold out Bayfront Inn are ready to attack the upcoming crowd for different reasons.
"I heard it's going to be a big outcome this year, especially since Alabama barred liquor, so everyone has been talking about coming down here for spring break now," said Bayfront Inn employee Teresa Mason.
"We definitely need it. Every weekend so far we've been selling out, so business is finally starting to pick up. It's definitely good to have a guaranteed sold out weekend," said Rutledge.
Regardless, hotel workers are still working hard to make sure that everything is ready for when the spring breakers arrive.
"Just making sure all the reservations are taken care of. Payments are made, the rooms are ready to go. Everyone's ready. Going to have a good time," Rutledge said.
Most of all, everyone is happy with the money spring breakers bring to the coast.
"We support all the businesses. We have cards for the Jet Ski stands out here and restaurants and, you know, buffet coupons and stuff," Mason said.
