BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

Family, friends, classmates and members of the community who have been inspired by Sierra Jones and her story are saying goodbye to the college freshman.

Hundreds packed the Frank Gruich Community Center in Biloxi on Monday to celebrate the life of the St. Martin High School graduate.

“Sierra was like an iris,” said SMHS Principal Dina Holland. “She was lovely, beautiful and majestic, nurtured by soil, sun and rain.”

Jones was killed in a car crash on Monday, March 28. One day before that fatal accident, she authored a simple Facebook post that has since gone viral.

WLOX News Now reporter Caray Grace sat down with Jones’ parents Sunday to talk about the spiritual life she lived. You can find that emotional interview here: http://bit.ly/1SwLgRj
