Man accused of Pass Christian parade shooting identified in court document

PASS CHRISTIAN, MS (WLOX) -

Officials say a man arrested in connection with a deadly parade incident is accused of firing shots.

According to an amended petition for warrant or summons, the document notes that Charles Earl Johnson "along with several others, fired their firearms into a crowd after the Pass Christian Mardi Gras Parade in Pass Christian, Mississippi. This incident resulted in the deaths of two individuals and the injuring of three others."

The amendment was filed on March 1.

Two people were killed on Feb. 7 after shots were fired at the intersection of Davis Ave. and Ladnier St. following the parade.

Eight people were arrested in connection with the shooting.
