WAVELAND, MS (WLOX) -

The man accused of firing at least 15 rounds into a Waveland barber college has been arrested in Nevada. Police Chief David Allen said Leif Eric Dasco was wanted on felony charges of aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied dwelling.

Dasco had been on the run since the Jan. 21 shooting that sent one man to the hospital.

Allen said an altercation between Dasco and another man inside the barber college on Hwy. 90 led to the shooting.

Witnesses told investigators Dasco went to his car after the altercation and pulled out a rifle. That’s when he allegedly unloaded at least 15 round into the barber college and cars sitting in the parking lot.

One man who was about to get his hair cut was shot twice in the leg, according to authorities. Those injuries were non-life threatening.

Allen said the Hancock County SWAT Team stormed Dasco’s home on Margie St. later that day, but Dasco was not there.

Dasco will remain in custody in Nevada until he is extradited to Mississippi.
