Vehicle hit by train Friday night in Biloxi

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

A vehicle was hit by a train Friday night in Biloxi after possibly becoming stalled on the tracks.

Authorities say no one was injured during the incident and that the driver was able to get out of the vehicle before the train struck it. 

The accident occurred around 10 p.m. at the railroad tracks on Oak Street, near the intersection of Railroad Street, causing traffic to be re-routed as officials worked to clear the scene.

Biloxi Police say they are still unsure what caused the crash but believe the car may have broken down on the tracks.
