A recent tourism study suggests advertising the attributes of a vacation on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for people in other cities and states, is working. The study shows three quarters of a million dollars in advertising produced an additional $33 million in visitor spending and $1.2 million in additional tax revenue.
It sure sounds like a win for all. Tourism is an important part of the Mississippi Gulf Coast economy. Visitors spending here produces tax revenue and jobs.
