LONG BEACH, MS (WLOX) -

King Tut, Cleopatra, Bill Gates and even more historic figures made a stop in Long Beach Friday.

Students at Coast Episcopal School participated in the 6th annual Wax Museum. The event gives students the chance to pose as historic figures in international history. Teachers say the museum helps students to expand their knowledge of history.

Students were asked to select an influential person from history, write an essay and dress in costumes. Unlike other wax museums, students came to life to recite their short speech that they have written portraying their character.

"You are really stressed out," said student Julia Gelpi, "But in the end, you realize that you just learned about these famous people who have done great things, and it's great."

Organizers say the event will also happen again in 2017.
