A Gulfport couple is accused of trying to walk out of a store in Edgewater Mall with more than $1,000 worth of merchandise they did not pay for.

Sgt. O’Neal Adams, with the Biloxi Police Department, said Christopher Lee Crane, 33, and his wife, 29-year-old Annalyse Crane, were arrested Tuesday evening and charged with felony shoplifting.

Adams said the couple tried to steal more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from Dillard’s by hiding it in several bags. The couple was confronted by loss prevention officers while they were walking toward the door the leave the store.

Christopher and Annalyse were taken to the Harrison County jail, where they were given $10,000 bonds. Both suspects have bonded out of jail.
