GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Fire investigators in Gulfport are investigating what they call a suspicious fire.

Gulfport Fire Investigator Tim Regan said flames sparked at a home on 32nd Street around 1:30 Tuesday morning. Regan reports five people were sleeping inside when the blaze started. All of them made it out unharmed before the flames spread. The American Red Cross is now assisting the victims.

Investigators said the home was heavily damaged. 

"Gulfport Fire and Police are asking anyone with information on this fire to contact them, the fire is under investigation and is considered suspicious," said Regan.
