PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) - Two teenagers were shot late Sunday night in Pascagoula and police are trying to figure out who pulled the trigger.
Shannon Broom with the Pascagoula Police Department said around 11:20 p.m., police were alerted of shots fired near the 2600 block of Robertson Street.
"While responding to the call it was learned one person had been shot and was being transported to Singing River Hospital Emergency Room by car," said Broom. That victim has been identified as Brandon Davis, 19, of Pascagoula.
Then investigators found out there was another shooting victim in the emergency room of Ocean Springs Hospital. Police report Markis Wells, 18, of Gautier, claims he was shot on Robertson Street.
Broom said Erica Ford, 37, of Pascagoula, has been arrested in connection to the shooting of Wells.She's charged with aggravated assault and was taken to the Jackson County Adult Detention Center. Detectives are now trying to determine to person who shot Davis.
"In our preliminary investigation, it appears this shooting started from a fight earlier in the day," Broom told WLOX News Now.
Both shooting victims were shot one time and had to undergo surgery for their injuries.
