MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

After a night of tornado warnings, thunderstorms, and heavy rains, National Weather Service warned of the potential for flash flooding around the Mid-South.

In DeSoto County, the National Weather Service is working to confirm whether a tornado touched down in the Lake Comorant area near Bass Landing Road and Highway 61. In Mississippi, floodwater damaged 185 homes. Approximately 650 homes sustained minor water damage.

High water and fallen trees continue to be a problem Monday morning. Watch for flooded roads on your morning commute and remember: turn around, don't drown.

Clarksdale Schools are closed due to flooding. The city was already under a State of Emergency due to flooding in the area. Some residents even had to use boats to get around. Mayor Luckett said most homes do not have flood insurance because they do not live in a flood zone.

Mississippi officials said they are looking for two missing fishermen.
