Rising water forces evacuations in Pearl River County

SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) -

Residents in six Pearl River County homes had to be been evacuated Friday morning, due to rising water. If you have to be out on the road, drive with caution. 

Pearl River County Emergency Management Director Danny Manley said the following roads are closed, due to flooding: 

Old Camp Road
Humphrey Road
Buck Branch School Road
Hwy 43, north of Hwy 26

Hancock County Emergency Management Director Brian Adam said around 40 streets there are covered with water. Eight roads are impassible, including: 

10th Avenue
11th Avenue
Sparrow Street
Bayou View Drive West
4th Avenue at Bayou View Drive East
E Avenue
Polk Street
