HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

More than 4,000 Mississippi Power customers in Harrison County are without power due to high wind.

Officials say the Thursday night outages have been caused by fallen tree limbs. Though sporadic, most of the outages are in Gulfport near I-10 and Hwy. 49.

Crews are working to restore power, although weather is complicating matters. When wind speeds are more than 30 mph, workers cannot go up in utility vehicle buckets.

At this time, there is no estimate for when power will be fully restored.
