HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Hancock County's Emergency Management Director Brian Adam is keeping a close watch on the forecast. With dozens of roads already covered by flood waters, he's waiting to see how much rainfall will worsen things.
As many as 90 roads in the county already have at least some water on them. The flooding now is driven by strong winds and high tides.
Adam said most folks living in the flood prone areas know what to do, since they've been through it countless times before.
"They know when to take precautions and how to stay safe," Adam said.
The big unknown remains rainfall amounts. Right now, that's anyone's guess.
