HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - With an estimated four to seven inches of rain expected over the next few days, officials are urging residents in low-lying areas to prepare for possible flooding. Some areas may even see as much as ten inches of rainfall prompting a flash flood watch Thursday morning through Saturday morning.
Harrison County Emergency Management Director Rupert Lacy told WLOX News Now that sand is now available at all Harrison County Work Centers for people who want to stock up on sand bags. Bags are provided, but people need to bring their own shovels.
