Victoria Vivians of Mississippi State has an opportunity to win back-to-back Gillom Trophy awards.
Vivians has helped the Mississippi State women's team to post a 24-6 record and 11-5 in SEC play. The Carthage, Mississippi, native ranks second in the SEC with a 16.7 scoring average and ranks sixth in league play with 15.4 points per game.
In Sunday's win over Alabama, Vivians reached 1,000-career points, becoming just the fifth Lady Bulldog player to achieve that goal.
Shandricka Sessom of Ole Miss is a finalists. She's scoring 15.5 points per game and 5.8 rebounds.
Chelsey Rhodes of Delta State is the third finalist. She leads the Gulf South Conference with 20.1 points per game.
Fan voting begins Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. and ends Sunday, March 6 at 8:30 a.m.
The 2016 C Spire Howell and Gillom Trophies will be award during a March 7 luncheon program at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum in Jackson.
