Truck overturns near Lamey Bridge Rd. and Hwy. 67

SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) -

The Mississippi Highway Patrol, and fire departments from Gulfport, D'Iberville and Harrison County responded to an overturned truck Thursday afternoon. 

According to officials, 43-year-old Derrick DeWayne Ellis of St. Joseph, La. was driving south on Hwy. 67 when he attempted a right turn on Lamey Bridge Rd. After losing control, the truck overturned and spilled dirt onto the road.

Ellis is in stable condition, and was air lifted to USA Medical Center in Mobile.
