MDEQ: No more water warnings for Mississippi Sound

SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - All of the Mississippi Sound is safe for swimmers again. Thursday afternoon the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality lifted the water contact advisories in Ocean Springs for Shearwater Beach from Weeks Bayou to Ashley and also for Waveland's Beach from Oak Boulevard to Favre Street.

Those waters had high bacteria levels. But tests now show that levels are safe for human contact again.
