OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) - Mayor Connie Moran delivered her 11th state of the city address Wednesday evening.
A small crowd gathered at the Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural center to hear about the city's finances and various projects that are in the works.
Mayor Moran talked about improving sidewalks on government street to make them ADA compliant.
Bids will open for that $1.2 million project on Thursday.
Mayor Moran says she is most pleased with the state of the city's finances.
"We are in good financial shape," said Mayor Moran. "We have increased our reserve to $1 million, which is pretty substantial considering our general fund is only $13 million. We have maintained our budget. Our revenues are growing. Sales tax is growing."
The small craft harbor project is also moving along, with an expected completion date in April.
