HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Four K-9s with the Hancock County Sheriff's Department will soon get bullet proof vests after winning a Facebook contest.

According to the "Keeping K-9s in Kevlar" Facebook page, K-9s Taco, Radar, Loco and Duke, and 8 other K-9s from across the country, will all receive vests for free. Originally, the top five most 'liked' photos would win vests. But thanks to donations, a total of 12 K-9s will soon be protected with a Kevlar vest.

Radar was the K-9 injured last September after his handler was involved in a car wreck.
