D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) -

How about bringing a little Valentine's Day puppy love into your home? Meet Silky. The lovable four-month-old puppy was recently featured as the Pet of the Week on WLOX News Now at 5pm. Silky is one of many pets at the Jackson County Animal Shelter you can adopt today, or this weekend at a Valentine’s Day event hosted by PetSmart.

In fact, the Jackson County Animal Shelter's Maridee Mallette says "they have a number of puppies looking for a home right now, in addition to adult pets."

Adoptable dogs and cats will be at the D’Iberville PetSmart location on Promenade Parkway Saturday and Sunday between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.  Shelter workers will also be there, along with members of Friends of the Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets Rescue. A brochure posted on the shelter’s Facebook page says, "Valentine’s is almost here. So come adopt the Furry love of your life."
