GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Thursday, coast lawmakers shared generic information about how Topship will use a 116-acre Gulfport property. They’ve been told ships will be built and government contracts will be completed at the old Ingalls plant off Seaway Road.

Specific details regarding what Topship and its 1,000 employees will ultimately produce is still being kept under wraps.

We do know Gov. Phil Bryant will be in Gulfport on Monday. He has invited local dignitaries to the Great Southern Club.

According to people in the governor’s office, that event is when specifics about the Gulfport project will be released.
