St. Patrick advances to the boys State Soccer finals on Saturday

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - On Tuesday, St. Patrick head coach Mario Camps was confident that his team could beat Sacred Heart.

Camps and his Fighting Irish defeated Sacred Heart 2-0 Wednesday night in the Class 1A-2A-3A Boys South State title game.

Freshman Chris Collins scored both games for St. Patrick, punching a ticket to the state championship game on Saturday.

Coach Camps has won 3 state championship in 20 years of coaching and he takes aim on No. 4.  He captured 2 state trophies at Mercy Cross High School and led St. Patrick to the 2014 championship.

The class 5A Boys South State soccer championship will be determined 6 p.m. Thursday in Wiggins sending the Gautier Gators against the Stone Tomcats.
