GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Gulfport police have arrested the man suspected of robbing the Hancock Bank on South Swan Road last month.

Gulfport Police Department spokesman Sgt. Damon McDaniel said the armed robbery happened just before 5 p.m. on Jan. 29, 2015.

McDaniel said a man, later identified as 25-year-old Daniel Lee Murphy, walked into the bank, implied that he had a weapon and demanded money from a teller.

Murphy, of Saucier, allegedly took the cash and ran from the scene on foot. The whole robbery was caught on tape by the bank’s surveillance system.

McDaniel said an anonymous tip led Gulfport detectives to Murphy on Tuesday. He was arrested at his home without incident and charged with armed robbery.

Harrison County Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner set Murphy’s bond at $100,000.
