GEORGE COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

What began as a traffic stop for George County deputies ended with a drug charge for a Texas man.

According to officials, a deputy pulled over a white 2016 Chrysler 200 driven by 41-year-old Jeffrey Curry, Jr. around 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 28. After searching the vehicle with Curry's permission, the deputy found cocaine with a street value of more than $10,000.

Curry, who was already on federal probation for a previous drug conviction, was arrested and charged with aggravated trafficking. He was transported to George County Regional Jail, where a bond was set at $50,000.
