PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) - The Mississippi Supreme Court is weighing in on the battle over pensions for Singing River Health System retirees.

The court has ordered a special hearing, which must take place in the next 10 days, to determine whether Judge Breland Hillburn and Special Master Britt Singletary should be recused from the case.

The hearing was requested by the lawyers who represent hundreds of retirees suing the health system. They accuse Judge Hillburn of not being impartial.

Hillburn will preside over the recusal hearing.
