Former Jackson Co. Chancery Clerk dies

JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Former Jackson County Chancery Clerk Terry Miller died on Jan. 26 at the age of 72.

Miller, who served as chancery clerk from November 1998 to Jan. 1, 2015, was lifelong resident of Ocean Springs. He is survived by his wife, son and two grandsons.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 29 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Ocean Springs. The service will begin at 11 a.m.

The Jackson County Chancery Clerk offices (court, land and archives) will have a limited staff on Jan. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to allow employees to attend the funeral. Please be aware that wait times at these offices may be longer than normal during this time period.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be sent to Home of Grace in Vancleave.
