GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Three people were arrested Monday in connection with an armed robbery in Gulfport.

Gulfport police say Michael Dwaine Mason, Monica Kristy Wickward, and Joseph Lee Wilson have all been arrested on the charge of armed robbery.

The arrests followed an investigation into a robbery complaint at Tobacco and Beer Discount Store on East Pass Road. According to police, a white male approached the store clerk waving a handgun, and demanded money. Police say that male ran from the store after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money.

Officers and neighboring law enforcement agencies were given suspect and vehicle descriptions. Biloxi Police stopped the described vehicle near the intersection of Popp's Ferry Road and Pass Road. Officers say Mason, Wickward, and Wilson were in the vehicle. According to police, Mason was identified later as the man who robbed the business. The three were arrested and transported to the Gulfport Police Department.

Police say Mason was given a $200,000 bond, while Wickward and Wilson were given $100,000 bonds. All three were transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility.
