PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) - The Pascagoula Fire Department responded to a house fire at 14th Street and Jackson Avenue Sunday afternoon.

Neighbors say they heard a loud boom, followed by someone knocking on the door notifying them of a fire next door. After calling 911, the bystanders sprayed the home with a water hose until the fire department arrived.

The homeowner is reportedly in Jackson, Miss., there are no known injuries. Mississippi Power is currently on the scene cutting off power at the home.

At this time, there is still no word on what caused the blaze.
